The Weller Ranch was homesteaded in 1949 by Bill’s Grandfather who moved to the Kadoka area from Colorado.

In 1993 the Weller’s started their own band of mares to breed high quailty, using ranch horses and in 2000 they purchsed Bill’s Uncles ranch just miles from his parents, W.O. and Jean. The Weller family trails cattle between each ranch on horseback.

Bill and Carrie along with their two sons, Gage, 7, and Tagg, 3, raise quarter horses by their studs Sierras Notion and Seven S Barney. They run 25 broodmares with bloodlines consisting of Quincy Dan, Joe Reed II, Sonny Dee Bar, Sierra Te, Leo, Two Eyed Jack, Big Step, Jackie Bee, King Fritz and Hollywood Dun It.

Bill was raised in Kadoka on his parents ranch breeding registered and commercial angus cattle.

Carrie has a horse background. She
worked for Wrigley Arabians in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin as the breeding manager. Their combined passion and
need for useable, versatile horses has been the fuel that drives their program.
